Caddyshack Clip - License to kill gophers

This is what is happening at the Finch Arboretum this week.....

News item:

SPOKANE - The city says there are hundreds of squirrels in Finch Arboretum in west Spokane damaging property by digging holes and tunnels, eating tree roots, and potentially spreading disease.

The Rodenator will be used by the City of Spokane to kill squirrels in Finch Arboretum.
So they're bringing in the “Rodenator”.
The city says it's a humane way to reduce the number of squirrels.
The Rodenator delivers a blast that kills the rodents, and collapses their tunnels.
City staff will be using the device all week long, so neighbors living near the arboretum should expect to hear blasts that sound like gunshots.
A visit to Finch Arboretum by KREM 2 News on Monday showed several squirrels popping out of tunnels, or just hanging out on the property.
The city says most years the ground squirrels are a minor problem, but this year they're out of hand.
The Rodenator cost the city $2,000.

Goodbye ER

I have watched ER from the very first episode.  15 seasons.  It's the only show I have ever watched this long from the very beginning.  Tonight is the final episode.

For close to 28 years I have been selling pharmaceuticals and medical equipment.   It was always fun to see if any of the stuff I was selling was in the show.  A couple of companies I've worked for, had products placed intentionally.

Early on the episodes that related to the loss of a child left me dealing with our loss.  I think it helped me to deal with my grief.

I was amazed how authentic the dialogue was and how they correctly used the equipment, etc.

I will miss ER.

Dang... another bath!
