"It's a girl!"

I think back to that early morning in the delivery room. It was exhausting, exciting and scary all at the same time. After 68 hours and two hospitals it was time to see this new person that was going to be a part of our lives.

Dr. Hopwood at the ready to catch this kid.

"............it's a.............(Dr. Hopwood was loving this).................girl!"

What did he say??? a girl?

YIKES, what am I going to do with a girl.

Not having a sister I wasn't sure how I was going to interact with this stranger.

Okay, I've figured it out. No Barbie Dolls!! No Cabbage Patch dolls!! (okay I'm on a roll now...) No pink frilly dresses. She'll be an athlete. No cheerleader dancing stuff for her!! Yeah that's it!!

BOY'S... ha ha ha..NO WAY!!!! No makeup till she's at least 21. She can start dating when shes 25. Possible marriage after she turns 35. This will be easy.........

Well, I guess we now know how that went....

Mt. Spokane Wildcat Marching Band, Part 2

Wanted to add a few more pictures.

Mt. Spokane Wildcat Marching Band

This weekend marked the end of Mt. Spokane High Schools 2007 marching band competition season. They finished with a sweep of awards in Auburn, Washington. This is one of the few trips Cath and I have missed this year. It's been fun to watch Alex mature as one of the senior leaders on the drumline. Of course, there have been bumps along the way, but all in all theband/drumline has been a good experience for him.

I'm always amazed to watch the bands at these competitions. Being a drummer myself in a marching band in the late 60's, we were happy just to be able to form a couple of letters and play music at the same time!!

After 6 years of going to these type of competitions (Whitney was on the Drill team for two years) it will seem strange not to be going!!

Dang... another bath!
